PAYMENT:

We provide flexible payment options, including monthly plans for tours scheduled more than 6 months ahead. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking for all tour types.


Small Group Trips:

Your account manager will provide payment options tailored to your tour.


PRICE:

The listed price is the final amount and corresponds with the inclusions outlined in your tour program.
Please note, gratuities for drivers, guides, waiters, maids, etc., are not included and are at your discretion.


ACTIVITIES:

If you do not wish to participate in an activity listed on the program, please note that all services and activities included in the package are non-refundable, even if you do not participate in them.


CANCELLATION:

60 Days or More Before Departure:

  • Loss of deposit.
  • Refund for payments exceeding the tour deposit.


Between 60 and 31 Days Before Departure:

  • Cancellation fee of 70% of the tour cost.


30 Days or Less Before Departure:

  • Cancellation fee of 100% of the tour cost.


CHANGES TO ITINERARY:

Due to unpredictable traffic conditions and potential sudden weather changes in Madagascar, WAU Madagascar reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its sightseeing tours and arrange alternative routes as necessary. The main attractions of the sightseeing tours will be preserved, but the method of access and travel to these locations may be changed based on the needs of the group. All visits will take place rain or shine, unless it poses a risk to customers, staff, or equipment. Our guide will make this determination. No refunds will be given for these changes.


NAME CHANGE:

A customer has the right to transfer their trip to another person who meets the requirements for participating in the package trip. The necessary conditions are that WAU or the agent receives notification of this transfer in a timely manner before the trip begins, and that WAU is not prohibited from making such transfers by subcontractors. WAU charges a name change fee per person, which will be provided via email. Both the original customer and the new customer are jointly responsible for any fees and any remaining balance for the trip.


SPECIAL CASES:

In the event of circumstances beyond our control, such as strikes, cancellations or delays in flights, military or political conflicts, prohibitions on travel to the country, or other unforeseen events, WAU Madagascar will not be responsible for providing refunds or waiving payment of the balance due in the event of cancellation.


ACCOMMODATION:

Hotel categories are officially designated by authorities and, when available, are indicated in terms of stars. In the absence of this information, the classification is based on our team's firsthand experience. Triple rooms consist of a double room with an additional bed. Single rooms may be smaller and less desirable in location, despite the additional supplement. Hotel rooms are typically available for check-in in the afternoon on the day of arrival and must be vacated by morning on the day of departure.


AIR TRANSPORT:

WAU Madagascar does not handle international flights, but it may be included in your package from your travel agent.  Domestic flights may be included depending on the package. Flight schedules are subject to change at any time and schedule changes (delays or advances) will not be compensated. Meals served on flights are not refundable and replace meals that would have been taken at hotels at the same time. The airline is responsible for any delays or cancellations and will handle any related compensation, but we will assist with necessary procedures as much as possible.


LIABILITY:

WAU Madagascar is not responsible for any loss, damage, accident, injury, illness, or schedule changes due to weather, strikes, or any other circumstances beyond our control. This includes instances where participants do not show up at designated times and locations, present invalid or expired identification documents or health documents, or are denied entry to the country by authorities. We recommend that all customers have comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen events.


INSURANCE:

We recommend that customers take out travel insurance before their trip. Cancellation insurance allows for reimbursement (excluding the insurance cost) of total trip costs in the event of cancellation. During the trip, support and repatriation insurance covers accidents on site involving the customer, companions, or loved ones, including advance medical expenses abroad, repatriation, early return due to illness of a relative, liability, and legal assistance. Baggage insurance protects against damage, delay, or loss of baggage. This insurance is often included in cancellation insurance.


FEEDBACK & CLAIMS:

If you are not satisfied with our services for any reason, we want to hear about it. It is best to contact us while you are still on your trip in Madagascar. If this is not possible, please send an email to let us know. We will do our best to address any issues and ensure a more enjoyable experience for future travelers.
